Tapmate respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application equipped with an AI agent.
Google User Data
Tapmate uses Google OAuth 2.0 only to allow you to sign in securely with your Google account. We request the following limited scopes:

These scopes allow Tapmate to verify your identity and display basic profile information, such as your name and email address, inside the app. We do not request or access any other Google services (such as Gmail, Calendar, or Drive). Your Google account data is never used for advertising or shared with unauthorized parties.
Data Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
Tapmate strictly adheres to Google's Limited Use Policy. We do not sell, transfer, or disclose your Google User Data to advertisers or any unauthorized third parties. The limited information obtained (your name, email, and basic profile details) is used solely to enable authentication and enhance your user experience within Tapmate.
How We Use Information
We use your Google sign-in information solely to authenticate you, personalize your experience, and maintain your account session. Tapmate does not store, analyze, or transmit your Google data beyond what is necessary for sign-in and identification.
Device Permissions
Tapmate may request access to certain device features in order to provide functionality you choose to use:
- Camera & Microphone: To capture images, scan, or process voice commands when you start these features.
 - Location: To provide location-based results, such as finding directions, only with your consent.
 - Media & Storage: To access or save files and media if you request it.
 - Alarms: To set alarms when you enable this feature.
 - System Settings & Overlays: To adjust app-related settings or display elements over other apps if you enable those features.
 - Foreground Services: To keep certain features active in the background, such as advanced UI overlays or the "word awake" function. These options can always be enabled or disabled in the app's settings.
 - App Launching: Tapmate can help you open other applications on your device when you request it. To do this, it checks which apps are installed so it can match your request to the correct app. This information is used only at the moment of your request and is never stored or shared.
 - Flashlight: To control the flashlight only if you turn on a feature that requires it.
 
These permissions are used solely to perform the tasks you request and are never used for advertising or background tracking.
Other Information We Collect
- User Queries & Commands: Your interactions with Tapmate may be processed by our AI agent to fulfill your requests.
 - Optional Context Storage: If you consent, we may store limited contextual data (like recent queries) to improve your experience. Otherwise, data is processed temporarily and not retained.
 
Data Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption and secure communication protocols, to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure.
Data Retention & Deletion
By default, Tapmate processes your data only as needed to complete your requests. Optional stored context is retained only with your consent.
International Use
Tapmate can be used worldwide. We comply with applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR and other local privacy laws.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
